I thought I saw the light today
Without pain, without pay
And the dream passed me by
As the leaves blew along
The talking men

I fought the war and decieved them all
Last night, just after fall
and the devil on the bench
Didn’t mind me sitting there
All alone

I cought my self destructing lie
And just could not deny
That it all was planned
As fear took by surprise
A hold on me

I ought to cut that line right now
But again I don’t know how
